The Climate March in Montpelier, Vermont on Saturday, April 29 was set to coincide with the national climate march in Washington, D.C. and more than 300 supporting marches across the nation.
Approximately 2,000 people gathered for the Climate March on the statehouse lawn in Montpelier, while 350 Vermont reports that more than 400 Vermonters travelled to the nation’s capital. David Zuckerman were among the many informative speakers. Tents and displays lined the sidewalk, manned by sponsoring groups including the Sierra Club, 350Vermont, Vermont Public Interest Research Group, Vermont Rights and Democracy, the Vermont Natural Resources Council and Vermont Interfaith Power.
